A Good place to start is http://www.aph.gov.au/library/intguide/sp/spgrants.htm which has a guide to community grants. This provides:
- Links to selected sources of Commonwealth, State and Territory financial assistance to community groups.
- A selection of links to non-government organisations which provide community grants.
- Links to commercial services providing grant information via subscription.
- The guide does not include links to scholarships, fellowships or research grants.

Grantslink is also another community grant site- http://www.grantslink.gov.au making it easier to find suitable and relevant grants for your community projects from the many Australian Government Grants that are available. Community Builders
Community builders is another valuable site it lists funding programs from federal, state and local government, as well as institutions, philanthropic trusts and companies.
